The Crossroads Conversation

You already suspect something isn’t right — you're just not sure what to do with that yet.

Your life doesn’t feel like it fits anymore. It used to — or close enough that you didn’t question it.

But something has changed, and you can’t ignore it the way you used to.

The Crossroads Conversation

You already suspect something isn’t right — you're just not sure what to do with that yet.

Your life doesn’t feel like it fits anymore. It used to — or close enough that you didn’t question it.

But something has changed, and you can’t ignore it the way you used to.

There’s nothing you could point to and say “that’s the problem.”

Instead, there’s a quiet, persistent sense that something isn’t working — and you’re the only one who sees it.

So, you keep carrying it.

There’s grief in that. No one wears black. No one knows to bring casseroles.

No one knows you’re mourning a future that hasn’t shown up.

What Will actually Help

Right Now

Not advice. Not a plan. Not someone in your life giving you their opinions.

What you need is a clear look at what’s happening — and what it’s costing you. In a space that’s private — with someone who isn’t involved.

That's what The Crossroads Conversation is.

How It Works

Two sessions. Two weeks apart.

Session One: We look at what’s going on — not what it looks like from the outside, but what it’s doing to you on the inside. What it’s quietly taking from you.

In between: Homework — not busywork, the kind of work that lets a new viewpoint evolve and settle in.

There’s Voxer access when you start to wobble so you aren’t sitting alone with your unsettled thoughts.

Session Two: We look at your options — what each one means, and what it could ask of you.

What You Leave With

Clarity about what’s happening — and what your options look like. You get to decide what to do with that — no one else.

What This is Not

This is not therapy. It’s not crisis support. It doesn’t include hypnosis. It’s not someone telling you what to do. It’s a private space to finally hear yourself think.

A Note on Safety

If the people in your life sometimes make you fearful — that’s worth paying attention to.

It may not feel like a crisis, but even so, The National Domestic Violence Hotline can help you think through what you’re experiencing, confidentially and at no cost.

Who the Crossroads Conversation is For

Something is shifting and you can’t quite put your finger on it. You feel things differently — what never bothered you before is now frustrating.

That frustration is calling out for your attention.

You’re not ready to share it with friends and family. You feel too vulnerable to open it up to their opinions.

But you need to say it out loud to someone. Somewhere private.

This is for you.

I'm Jo Ann Kobuke

I learned a long time ago that the people closest to you aren’t always the best ones to talk to when you’re working something out.

They’re not always the right audience for the discussions you most need to have.

The Crossroads Conversation is a safe place to have those discussions. A space to say things out loud. Try them on. Hear how they land.

You can talk with someone who isn’t part of your circle and has no stake in what you decide.

My experience hearing the undercurrent beneath the words allows me to reflect it back in a way that helps you think more clearly.

You’ve been turning it over long enough. It’s time to say it out loud.
